How can I set up and operate a pool?
Operators of the ZPT software platform set up pools of prospective students according to their specific needs and manage them themselves. To this end, they acquire a license to use the ZPT software platform.
All researchers at DIZH universities or ETH Zurich can apply for a license to set up a pool of using the ZPT software platform.
Setup requirements for pool operators
The decision to grant a license and thus open a pool is done by the ZPT management based on the following criteria:
- Pool operators have sufficient institutional stability to operate a pool for prospective students over the long term.
- Pool operators can credibly demonstrate compliance with the obligations associated with operating a pool of prospective students (in particular with regard to data protection) (see sections 4 and 5.2 of the General Terms and Conditions; GTC).
The ZPT Steering Committee defines the admission criteria. If the criteria change, the appendix to the GTC will be updated accordingly.
If an applicant is denied or revoked a license to use the ZPT software platform, they may submit a reconsideration request to the Z-Pool-Tool Steering Committee. The Steering Committee will make a final decision on the granting of a license, taking into account the assessment of the management.
The provisions of the Z-Pool-Tool General Terms and Conditions also apply to the use of the ZPT software platform.
The management of the ZPT may exclude pool operators, pool users, and prospective students from using the ZPT software or the UZH pool if they violate the provisions of the General Terms and Conditions. An appeal against such a decision may be lodged with the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee will then make a final decision on the case, taking into account the assessment of the management.
